Canberra Speech and Language offer a full range of personalised speech pathology services for children and adolescents. Special areas of clinical interest at Canberra Speech and Language are speech difficulties (cleft palate, CAS, phonological disorder), bilingualism and hearing impairment.
Assessment for speech, language, stuttering (fluency), voice and social communication difficulties in children and adolescents.
Leah is able to provide clinical supervision and mentoring to early-mid career speech pathologists.
Therapy is individualised to each child and mostly takes place in the clinic with home practice activities given to take home. Therapy is family-centred and is based on evidence and best practice.
Home, preschool and school visits are subject to availability and telehealth sessions are also possible.
Collaboration and consultation with other health professionals and teachers may occur in order to work effectively towards a child's communication goals.
